A delegation from KazakhExport EIC, a subsidiary of Baiterek Holding, recently visited Dushanbe and held productive discussions with prominent Tajik banks and potential importers.
Meetings with Amonatbank, Dushanbe City Bank, and Orienbank focused on strengthening existing partnerships and exploring new ventures. Discussions highlighted successful collaborations: Amonatbank facilitated over $23.7 million in domestic projects supported by KazakhExport financing in the past three years, and Orienbank collaborated on projects worth approximately $17 million.
Cooperation agreements were signed to bolster support for domestic companies, SMEs, and facilitate imports from Kazakhstan. “Our collaboration with local financial institutions offers extensive opportunities for exporters and importers seeking to establish contracts for Kazakh goods delivery to Tajikistan through trade financing,” stated Kuanysh Mukazhanov, Deputy Chairman of KazakhExport’s Board. “This initiative not only helps Kazakh producers enter new markets but also facilitates Tajik companies’ access to high-quality and competitive products.”
The delegation also met with representatives from aviation, construction, and hydropower sectors, including Somon Air Airlines, Avesto Group, and TGEM LLC. Somon Air Airlines and Avesto Group expressed interest in acquiring Airbus H145 helicopters from Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering LLP with KazakhExport’s support.
Discussions with TGEM LLC, Tajikistan’s leading company in hydropower and infrastructure construction, reviewed ongoing and prospective projects and their requirements for equipment and materials. TGEM LLC is exploring financing options for these purchases. Additionally, TALCO Management expressed interest in securing trade finance resources.
